5 Unique Features of the Lamborghini Revuelto

Lamborghini Revuelto

The Lamborghini Revuelto is an electrifying hybrid supercar that represents a new era for the Italian sports car brand. Introduced globally in late March 2023, this exceptional vehicle has now made its way to Vietnam, one year after its initial launch. Here are five noteworthy highlights about the Lamborghini Revuelto that you may not know.

13 Different Driving Modes

Driving Modes

The Lamborghini Revuelto offers an impressive selection of 13 driving modes, ensuring that users can activate a mode that suits their intended purpose. In addition to familiar modes like Hybrid and Sport, this car boasts two especially unique modes: Corsa and Citta.

Corsa is a pure racing mode that harnesses the full power of the Revuelto’s 1,001 horsepower. On the other hand, Citta (or Città, meaning “city” in Italian) is a mode designed specifically for urban driving. In this mode, the car relies solely on electric power, reducing the output to 178 horsepower to minimize noise and maximize fuel efficiency while navigating city streets.

Familiar Naming Tradition

Revuelto Bull

Like many previous Lamborghini models, the name Revuelto is connected to the world of bullfighting. In this case, Revuelto refers to a famous fighting bull from late 19th-century Barcelona. Known for its wild nature, Revuelto caused quite a stir by leaping into the stands a staggering eight times throughout its “career.”

The predecessor of the Revuelto, the Aventador, also directly borrowed its name from a renowned fighting bull, albeit one from the late 20th century.

Unparalleled Customization

Customization

Lamborghini takes pride in the fact that no two Lamborghini Revuelto cars will ever be the same. The level of customization available for this model surpasses that of any previous Lamborghini.

From an extensive range of paint colors and materials used in construction to unique customization options, the Lamborghini Revuelto offers the highest level of variety imaginable. Anyone fortunate enough to afford a Revuelto will surely not settle for a “standard edition” devoid of any special features.

Innoovative Chassis

Chassis

The revolutionary chassis of the Lamborghini Revuelto draws inspiration from the aerospace industry, an area of interest that the Italian brand has pursued for many years. Known as the “Monofuselage,” this seamless structure is made from Forged Composites, a material developed by Lamborghini in 2008 that merges carbon fiber with resin.

Thanks to this innovative construction and material, the Monofuselage is 10% lighter than the Aventador’s chassis. Going into further detail, the front chassis is 20% lighter, while the rear chassis is made of a reinforced aluminum alloy with integrated hollow castings. This space is utilized to incorporate the rear suspension shock absorber system, as well as drivetrain components, into a single area.

Innovative Transmission

Transmission

The transmission of the Lamborghini Revuelto is positioned transversely behind the V12 engine. In addition to having to rotate the transmission by 90 degrees, Lamborghini had to rearrange the transmission layout to a more conventional setup (engine-transmission-differential from front to rear) instead of the previous unique configuration (transmission-differential-engine).

With these two changes, Lamborghini ensures a more stable weight distribution between the front and rear of the Revuelto. Furthermore, the unique transmission structure, with separate even and odd gears, provides improved shift times while reducing the overall weight of the transmission. Lastly, the horizontal transmission arrangement, as opposed to the previous vertical setup, also frees up additional space to expand the cabin.
