Business Today: Biden Ensures Advanced Weapon Technology Remains Out of China’s Hands

In his recent address, President Joe Biden emphasized the United States’ intention to compete with China rather than engage in conflict. He expressed confidence in America’s strong position to win the 21st-century competition with China, as well as any other country. Biden debunked the notion that China is surpassing the US, stating, “For years, all I heard from my Republican friends and many others was that China was rising and America was in decline. They got it wrong. America is rising.”

The President highlighted the robustness of the US economy, citing an increase in GDP since he took office. Additionally, he mentioned that the US trade deficit with China has reached its lowest point in over a decade. The US is standing up against China’s unfair economic practices and asserting its commitment to peace and stability, particularly in the Taiwan Strait.

Biden reaffirmed his efforts to strengthen partnerships and alliances in the Pacific region. He assured that the US’s most advanced technologies will not be utilized in China’s weaponry systems. This ensures that China does not gain access to sensitive and cutting-edge weapon technology.

The President also made remarks aimed at his predecessor, former President Donald Trump, who is likely to be his opponent in the upcoming election in November. Biden stated, “To be honest, for all the tough talk on China, my predecessor never actually took action.”

As the United States solidifies its position in the global economic landscape and navigates its relationship with China, it is clear that President Biden is focused on maintaining American technological superiority and safeguarding national security.
