Business Today: Former Russian President Vows to Crush Terrorists
Former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, who currently serves as the Deputy Chairman of the National Security Council of Russia, has made a bold statement to annihilate terrorists. This declaration comes in response to a recent terrorist attack near Moscow, where masked gunmen stormed a concert, resulting in numerous casualties and injuries.
In Washington, the White House condemned the horrific terrorist attack and extended condolences to the victims. John Kirby, the spokesperson for the National Security Council, expressed their commitment to gathering information regarding the incident. Antonio Guterres, Secretary-General of the United Nations, also denounced the shooting and conveyed sympathy to the families of the victims. Additionally, the Security Council issued a statement condemning the attack.
According to TASS news agency, approximately one-third of the Crocus City Hall complex, the site of the shooting, was engulfed in flames. Unconfirmed videos show helicopters being deployed to extinguish the fire. RT reported that helicopters dropped around 160 tons of water on the building to control the blaze. Over 70 rescue teams treated and evacuated the injured.
The latest report from the Russian Federal Security Service states that more than 60 people lost their lives in the attack. The regional healthcare authorities disclosed that nearly 150 individuals sustained injuries, with 115 being admitted to hospitals. Among the injured, at least 60 adults and one child are in critical condition.
