The investigation into the Phuc Son Group case continues as the suspects have returned 55 billion VND and 1.6 million USD. The Ministry of Public Security is actively pursuing the case, making progress in recovering assets and addressing the consequences.

Continuing the Investigation

During a regular press conference, a question was raised regarding the progress of the Phuc Son case and the lessons learned. In response, Lieutenant General To An Xo, spokesperson for the Ministry of Public Security, stated that the investigation will proceed according to plan.

Recovery of Assets

Lieutenant General Xo stated that authorities have already seized 55 billion VND and 1.6 million USD from the suspects. They are also conducting a thorough review and sealing of valuable assets belonging to the accused and related individuals. This process will aid in asset recovery and remedying the consequences of the case.

Lessons Learned

Lieutenant General Xo emphasized that this is just the beginning and that there will be many lessons to be learned from this case. He assured the public that the most important and fundamental information has been shared with journalists during the Ministry of Public Security’s press conference.

Ongoing Investigation

Previously, at another press conference held by the Ministry of Public Security, representatives from the Anti-Corruption, Economic Crimes, and Smuggling Investigation Bureau addressed questions regarding the Phuc Son Group case. This large-scale case involves 21 projects invested by the Phuc Son Group. Currently, the Police are focusing their investigation on the misconduct of the suspects in Vinh Phuc and Quang Ngai provinces, as well as other related offenses.

Money Transfers and Arrests

Nguyen Van Hau admitted to transferring money to various individuals, including more than 64 billion VND to Dang Trung Hoanh, the former Chief Office of the Mang Thit District Party Committee in Vinh Long province. Hoanh then used the funds for personal purposes and other endeavors.

In relation to the Phuc Son Group case, a total of 15 suspects have been arrested and temporarily detained by the Ministry of Public Security.

Strengthening the Investigation

The Ministry of Public Security is currently consolidating evidence and documents related to the offenses committed by the suspects who have been arrested. They will continue to expand the investigation to uncover any additional wrongdoings.
