Chairman of Vinh Phuc Province Demands Strict Action Against Land Violations
The Chairman of the People’s Committee of Vinh Phuc Province has recently issued a statement outlining the conclusions of the regular monthly meeting in February. In the statement, Chairman Le Duy Thanh emphasized the province’s efforts in attracting investment and highlighted the positive signs of progress in this area. As of February 15th, Vinh Phuc Province has attracted nine FDI projects, totaling 1.53 trillion VND in investment capital. Additionally, 17 FDI projects have been granted licenses, including seven new projects and ten projects with increased capital, with a total registered capital of 123.94 million USD, reaching nearly 31% of the annual plan. It is expected that the province will achieve and exceed the annual investment attraction target for 2024 in the first quarter itself.
Furthermore, Chairman Le Duy Thanh announced the establishment of the Investment Promotion and Enterprise Support Center under the People’s Committee of Vinh Phuc Province. This decision, made by the Prime Minister, aims to enhance investment promotion and provide assistance to businesses in the province.
To prioritize key tasks in the coming period, Chairman Le Duy Thanh urged all levels and sectors to focus on implementing the resolutions of the National Assembly, the Government, and the Provincial People’s Council on socio-economic development in 2024. Additionally, he emphasized the importance of preparing the necessary content for the working programs of the Provincial Party Committee’s Standing Committee and the Provincial People’s Council meetings in 2024. The province should also accelerate the implementation of priority projects, effectively carry out land clearance, disburse public investment capital, and overcome difficulties in production and business.
Addressing the officials, party members, civil servants, and officers, Chairman Le Duy Thanh stressed the importance of strictly adhering to the regulations prohibiting party members from engaging in certain activities, upholding public ethics, and implementing government directives and provincial authorities’ instructions on post-Tet tasks.
During the meeting, the Provincial People’s Committee also provided opinions on the implementation of the Government’s Resolution No. 11 regarding the program of economic recovery and development, plans for organizing activities commemorating the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory, the 49th anniversary of the complete liberation of the South and the reunification of the country, as well as the 124th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh. Additionally, they discussed the plans for developing tourism in Vinh Phuc Province in the near future and reported on the implementation of road traffic safety regulations from 2009 to 2023, among other important matters.
Chairman Le Duy Thanh agreed with the report from the Department of Natural Resources and Environment on the results of land clearance and the handling of existing violations related to land. He emphasized that any localities failing to handle land law violations seriously would be held accountable by their respective leaders.
The Department of Natural Resources and Environment, the Department of Construction, and the Inspectorate of Vinh Phuc Province have been assigned the task of monitoring land violations and construction order issues in various localities, rectifying the situation, and making recommendations to the relevant authorities for further action.
