Đà Nẵng Sets Timeframe for Compensation and Clearance of 106 Projects

The city of Đà Nẵng has recently announced its plan to compensate and clear 106 projects within its territory by the year 2024. These projects are categorized into two groups: I/2018 and I/2024.

Group I/2018

The first group consists of two projects which were scheduled to be completed by 2018, but have yet to be finalized. The new deadline for the compensation and clearance of these projects has been set for April 30, 2024.

One of these projects is the New Northwest Urban Center, managed by the Đà Nẵng Investment Project Management Board. This project is currently at its final stage, with only one document remaining, and the local authorities have issued a decision to forcibly reclaim the land.

The second project is the expansion of the Hòa Hiệp South Water Plant Resettlement Area, led by the Đà Nẵng – Central Vietnam Investment Joint Stock Company. There are three pending documents in this project, and the Liên Chiểu district has requested support from the city in terms of housing and architectural design.

The projects in Group I/2018 include major developments such as the coastal road connecting Liên Chiểu Port, the western beltway, the high-rise commercial and service complex at Chi Lăng Stadium, the upgrading of Võ Duy Ninh Street, the market and streets of Khuê Mỹ, the Hòa Cầm Industrial Zone (phase 1), the intersection of Trục I Tây Bắc, and the western beltway.

Group I/2024

The second group, consisting of 65 projects, is comprised of key and motivating projects that are set to be completed by 2024. These projects have already undergone the compensation and clearance process.

The notable projects in Group I/2024 include the upgrading and renovation of the 29th of March Park, the Political and Administrative Center in Hải Châu District, the resettlement area in the west of the Lương thực – Thực phẩm College, the Hòa Quý new urban area, the Ngũ Hành Sơn cultural and historical park, the technical infrastructure of the southeastern area of the Hòa Cầm intersection, the dormitory area in the western part of the Hòa Khánh Industrial Zone, and the Hòa Liên 4 resettlement area (phase 3).

Group II/2024

The last group, Group II/2024, is comprised of 39 projects that will undergo phased compensation and clearance according to the construction timeline in 2024 and 2025.

These projects include the renovation and upgrade of the 29th of March Park, the Political and Administrative Center in Hải Châu District, the resettlement area in the west of the Lương thực – Thực phẩm College, the Hòa Quý new urban area, the Ngũ Hành Sơn cultural and historical park, the technical infrastructure of the southeastern area of the Hòa Cầm intersection, the dormitory area in the western part of the Hòa Khánh Industrial Zone, and the Hòa Liên 4 resettlement area (phase 3).

The city authorities have requested the support and close coordination of the district and commune authorities, as well as relevant agencies, to expedite the land clearance process for the projects, especially those in Group I/2018 and Group I/2024.

They have also instructed the district and commune authorities to organize weekly and monthly compensation plans, assign officers to closely monitor the progress, ensure the projects are carried out according to schedule, and work in coordination with the investors and the Project Management Board.

Đà Nẵng city emphasized that the compensation and clearance of land is a top priority in 2024, and all efforts should be focused to ensure the projects are executed on time. Monthly assessments will be conducted to evaluate the performance of the relevant units and individuals involved in the land clearance process.
