Đồng Nai Accelerates Auction of Prime Land
The provincial Department of Natural Resources and Environment in Đồng Nai has identified 21 plots of land that will be included in the land-use rights auction plan for 2024. Among them, 13 plots were already part of the 2023 auction plan, while 8 additional plots have been introduced.
Auction Plan Approval Requested
During a recent meeting, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment proposed to the provincial People’s Committee (UBND) to consider approving the land-use rights auction plan for 2024.
The department also recommended that local departments and agencies provide information on construction planning and estimated investment amounts for the projects after the land-use rights auction. It also suggested adding plots of land that are currently not included in the plan for social housing and workers’ housing development.
The Department of Natural Resources and Environment further urged the provincial People’s Committee to work with the Vietnam Rubber Industry Group and the Dong Nai Rubber Corporation to promptly complete the procedures for clearing rubber plantations and handing over land for auction.
Key Role of Land Auctions
Vo Van Phi, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, emphasized that land-use rights auctions are crucial for implementing medium-term public investment projects and promoting socio-economic development. The leaders of Đồng Nai province have instructed the Department of Natural Resources and Environment to finalize the land-use plan for 2024 and submit it for approval.
The plan needs to consolidate the allocated plots of land and identify additional ones, as well as specify the responsibilities of relevant departments and agencies within a specific timeframe. It should also include the estimated auction dates.
Previously, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment proposed auctioning off the land-use rights for 17 plots in 2024, covering a total area of nearly 410 hectares, with an estimated value of over 7.7 trillion VND. These include 6 plots originally planned for 2023 and 11 newly added plots.
