Employee at Dealership Crashes Million-Dollar Ferrari Enzo
Ferrari Enzo, one of the iconic models from the Italian brand with only 400 units worldwide, was recently severely damaged in an accident on the Autobahn highway in Munich, Germany.
According to local police sources, the supercar had an accident while preparing to exit the highway, crashing into the median and colliding with another vehicle.
At the scene, the Ferrari Enzo was extensively damaged, with its front bumper, hood, and headlights completely shattered. The left front wheel was also broken off the axle, and the suspension system was heavily damaged.
Pieces of the Ferrari were found scattered over 200 meters from the crash site. Three people were injured and taken to the hospital, with one person suffering from injuries caused by flying debris.
Some sources suggest that the driver of the Ferrari Enzo involved in the accident is a technician or employee of the Ferrari dealership in Munich, located about 5 km from the incident.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation. Meanwhile, another Ferrari Enzo owner believes that the extremely cold weather made the road slippery, resulting in the loss of traction and causing the driver to lose control.
With a powerful 651 horsepower naturally aspirated V12 engine, the Enzo lacks modern safety technologies and relies heavily on driver skill. These factors are believed to contribute to unfortunate incidents like this.
Despite the significant damage, the Ferrari Enzo is expected to be repairable, provided someone is willing to pay a considerable amount of money for the repairs. The current value of an Enzo is estimated to be around $3.3 million, reaching as high as $4.4 million in some instances.
This is not the first accident involving a Ferrari Enzo. In 2006, another Enzo was torn in half after crashing into a tree. The car was subsequently repaired and successfully auctioned off for $1.75 million.
In Vietnam, a Ferrari 488 GTB also suffered extensive front-end damage after colliding with a tree in July 2022. According to the owner, the driver of the Ferrari 488 GTB was an employee of Volvo Hanoi, where the owner had sent the car for repairs and maintenance.
