Regardless, Ford’s official fan page has shared images confirming the upcoming launch of the Stormtrak in the Vietnamese market. The Stormtrak is set to replace the Wildtrak model in Ford’s Ranger lineup in Vietnam.
The Stormtrak’s preliminary price is positioned between the Wildtrak (979 million VND) and the Raptor (1,299 billion VND). Its closest competitor, the Mitsubishi Triton Athlete, is currently priced between 780 and 905 million VND.
The Stormtrak will be equipped with a 2.0L Bi-turbo diesel engine, generating 210 horsepower and a maximum torque of 500 Nm. It will also feature a 10-speed automatic transmission.
In terms of appearance, the Stormtrak will have some unique elements, including LED Matrix headlights with additional side lighting, a specially designed front grille, a red-accented H-shaped front bumper, black RANGER lettering on the hood, and exclusive Sedona Orange paint.
The vehicle will come with 20-inch dark-toned alloy wheels with red accents, a foldable roof rack, and an adjustable cargo bed for added flexibility.
The Stormtrak’s interior will showcase black leather upholstery with contrasting red stitching, along with seats embroidered with the Stormtrak logo. It will also offer the latest modern conveniences, such as power-adjustable driver and passenger seats, a 12.4-inch digital display behind the steering wheel, a vertically integrated 12-inch infotainment screen with SYNC 4A, an 8-speaker audio system, wireless charging, and a panoramic sunroof.
In terms of safety, the Stormtrak will be equipped with advanced features, including active parking assistance, blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, active braking assistance, intelligent cruise control, lane departure warning, lane-keeping assistance, and a 360-degree camera.
In Vietnam, the Ford Ranger has maintained its position as the leader in the pickup truck segment for many years. In 2023, it achieved sales of 16,085 units, surpassing competitors such as the Mitsubishi Triton (2,572 units) and the Mazda BT-50 (812 units).
