The blast, suspected to be caused by a gas leak, resulted in one fatality and left 22 people injured. According to eyewitness accounts, a loud explosion rocked the area during morning rush hour. The scene quickly became engulfed in flames and thick smoke, causing panic among nearby residents and passersby. The building where the incident occurred suffered significant damage, with shattered glass from nearby buildings and badly damaged vehicles strewn across the streets.

One witness described the horrifying experience, saying, “While I was working, I suddenly heard a loud bang around 8 am. I ran outside and saw the nearby building ablaze, almost entirely destroyed. At the time of the explosion, there were many vehicles on the nearby roads.”

The aftermath of the explosion

A nearby convenience store owner, located just a few meters from the scene, stated, “The entire store and nearby buildings suffered severe damage. Glass windows and ceilings were shattered, but fortunately, I and other nearby shop owners are safe.”

Swift Response and Investigation

Local authorities dispatched 36 firefighting and rescue vehicles, along with 154 personnel, to the scene for rapid response and assistance. The fire was effectively contained, and rescue operations are currently underway.
