Haima 7X-E from China Receives a Significant Discount of 130 Million VND, Still Pricier Than Toyota Innova Cross
Haima 7X-E Enjoys a Discount of 166 Million VND
In recent days, Haima sales consultants have been offering significant discounts on the 7X-E SUV. Both electric versions of the Haima 7X are currently reduced by 130 million VND. After the discount, the price of the Comfort and Premium versions of the 7X-E is reduced to 981 million and 1.1 billion VND, respectively.
Model | List Price | Discounted Price | Reduction |
---|---|---|---|
Haima 7X Premium | 865 million VND | 750 million VND | 115 million VND |
Haima 7X-E Comfort | 1.111 billion VND | 981 million VND | 130 million VND |
Haima 7X-E Premium | 1.230 billion VND | 1.100 billion VND | 130 million VND |
Customers who purchase these two versions will also receive a voucher for one year of repair and maintenance worth up to 36.5 million VND. Therefore, the total value of the discount package is more than 166 million VND.
Furthermore, the petrol version of the Chinese car brand also applies a discount of 115 million VND, reducing the price from 865 million VND to 750 million VND. This price is significantly lower than its competitors, the Toyota Innova Cross (starting from 810 million VND) and the Hyundai Custin (starting from 850 million VND).
The Position of Haima 7X in Vietnam
Despite the discounts for all versions, Haima 7X is still considered a challenging sell in the Vietnamese market.
Several factors contribute to this situation. Firstly, the Chinese origin of the car raises concerns among Vietnamese customers. Although Chinese cars have significantly improved, and many brands have gained a strong foothold in international markets, less well-known brands still face skepticism from Vietnamese consumers. Haima is further disadvantaged by its limited dealer network, making it less competitive in after-sales service compared to other brands already present in Vietnam.
Additionally, the current economic uncertainty has made customers more cautious when purchasing cars, especially in the 1 billion VND and above price range. Hyundai Custin, the leading model in this segment, only sold 371 units in the first two months of the year, which is less than 200 cars per month.
When compared directly, the Haima 7X’s features and amenities do not stand out as much as its Japanese and Korean competitors, which are more familiar to Vietnamese consumers. The Haima 7X measures 4,815 x 1,874 x 1,720 mm (length x width x height) with a wheelbase of 2,860 mm. These dimensions are similar to the Innova Cross but shorter than the Custin.
Both of the mentioned competitors have a crossover MPV style, which gives them a more rugged and youthful appearance. In contrast, the Haima 7X has a more traditional MPV design, with neutral lines and fewer standout features.
In terms of sales, Hyundai Custin is currently leading the segment with 371 units sold, followed closely by the Innova and Innova Cross with 103 and 41 units sold respectively. As for the Haima 7X, its sales numbers remain undisclosed.
What Does the Haima 7X-E Offer?
The Haima 7X-E is essentially the same size as the 7X model. The electric vehicle is available in two versions: Comfort and Premium. The Premium version shares similar interior and exterior features with the 7X Premium. The main difference lies in the 18-inch wheels with 215/55R18 tires.
The Comfort version lacks several features found in the Premium version, such as halogen lights, seat heating and cooling, one-touch automatic windows, sunroof, and side steps. Other small conveniences present in the Premium version but absent from the Comfort version include hands-free trunk opening, wireless charging, and voice control.
The Comfort version lacks advanced safety features such as lane-keeping assist, emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, intelligent high beam headlights, and blind spot detection. On the other hand, the Premium version includes all of these features, along with six airbags, front and rear collision sensors, and a 360-degree camera system.
Both versions share a front-wheel-drive electric motor with a power output of 201 horsepower and 340 Nm of torque.
Furthermore, the vehicle’s battery is supplied by CATL, the same company that produces batteries for VinFast VF 8 and VF 9. According to the manufacturer, the Haima 7X-E can travel up to 510 km per charge according to the CLTC standard, or 460 km according to the NEDC standard. Fast charging from 30% to 80% takes approximately 27 minutes.
