Honda has unveiled its latest electric vehicle, the Honda HR-V Electric, at the Bangkok International Motor Show 2024. This electric crossover promises a range of 500km on a single charge, making it an ideal choice for long drives, including from Hanoi.

A Fusion of Style and Performance

The Honda HR-V Electric, also known as the Honda e:N1, is based on the e:N Architecture F EV platform. It features a front-wheel-drive system with an integrated three-in-one powertrain (electric drive, motor, and transmission) that delivers an exciting and confident driving experience. With its high rigidity and low center of gravity, the HR-V Electric offers improved aerodynamics and excellent handling.

On the exterior, the HR-V Electric stands out with its sleek grille, matching the color of the headlights and the charging port. The front grille is adorned with LED status lights located above it. Inside, the HR-V Electric boasts a sporty and youthful interior design. The black leather seats are accentuated with white accents and contrasting blue stitching.

The cabin features advanced technology, including a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster behind the steering wheel and a 15.1-inch vertical touch screen display in the center, which supports wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto connectivity. Other modern amenities include dual-zone automatic climate control, PM2.5 air filtration, 8-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, 6-speaker audio system, 4 USB ports, wireless charging pad, blue ambient lighting, electronic parking brake, and 60/40 split-folding rear seats.

Powerful Performance and Safety Features

Under the hood, the HR-V Electric is equipped with an electric motor that generates 201 horsepower and 310 Nm of torque. It is powered by a 68.8 kWh battery pack, providing a range of up to 500km (based on NEDC standard) on a full charge. The crossover can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 7.6 seconds and has a top speed of 160 km/h. The HR-V Electric offers three driving modes: ECON, Normal, and Sport.

When it comes to safety, the HR-V Electric is equipped with Honda Sensing, a comprehensive suite of advanced driver-assistance systems. Some notable safety features include collision mitigation braking system, lane keeping assist/warning, adaptive headlights, adaptive cruise control, blind spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, multi-angle rearview camera, 8 parking sensors, and Honda Connect.

Coming Soon to Vietnam

Honda plans to produce the HR-V Electric in Thailand and export it to various markets. The HR-V Electric will be officially available in Europe starting from March 26th. If the HR-V Electric is assembled in Thailand by 2024, it is highly likely that it will be available in Vietnam, aligning with Honda’s electrification strategy in the Southeast Asian market.
