Hyundai Creta: A New Affordable Pickup Truck

Hyundai Creta

Hyundai is set to launch a new small pickup truck specifically designed for developing markets. This affordable pickup truck will be positioned below the Hyundai Santa Cruz and will share the same chassis as the Hyundai Creta. While an internal Hyundai source has confirmed the existence of this new model, there are currently no details available regarding its design or specifications.

A Familiar Concept

Hyundai Creta

The idea of utilizing the Hyundai Creta as the basis for a pickup truck is not entirely new. In 2016, Hyundai introduced the Creta Sport Truck concept at the Sao Paulo International Motor Show. This upcoming pickup truck, running on the Creta platform, is expected to be available in markets such as South America, South Africa, India, and possibly Southeast Asia. Hyundai has a strong presence in these regions.

Electric Pickup Trucks on the Horizon

Hyundai Creta

In addition to the small unverified pickup truck, Hyundai has been working on the development of two electric pickup trucks, known as the Ioniq T7 and T10. These electric trucks are being developed alongside the Creta-based pickup truck. If the registered trademarks are accurate, the Ioniq T7 and T10 will join Hyundai’s lineup of electric vehicles.

Hyundai continues to innovate and expand its offerings in the pickup truck market. Stay tuned for more updates on their upcoming models.
