Khanh Hoa Announces Successful Bid for a $400 Billion Provincial Office Project

Khanh Hoa province in Vietnam has recently announced that a major consortium has won the contract to build their new provincial office headquarters. This significant project is set to have a total investment of 400 billion VND and will include the construction of an 8-story complex covering an area of over 4,500 square meters. The construction will take place from 2023 to 2025.

Project Details

The new provincial office will be located on a 2.3-hectare site at 01 Tran Phu Street, Xuong Huan Ward, Nha Trang City. The first phase of the project, excluding the Khanh Hoa Conference Center, will be built on the land currently occupied by the Provincial People’s Council, Provincial People’s Committee, and the current 1A Liaison Unit. The groundbreaking ceremony for this phase is scheduled for April 2024.

Successful Bidders

The decision to award the construction contract for the project was made by the Project Management Board of Khanh Hoa Province on March 28th. The consortium consisting of Vinhomes and Doan Nhat Mechanical and Electrical Company (a subsidiary of REE Corporation) was chosen to undertake the construction of the provincial office headquarters.

Vinhomes, a leading real estate developer, is also currently involved in the construction of the Happy Home social housing project in Cam Ranh, Khanh Hoa. This project comprises over 4,000 low-rise apartments and townhouses.

Doan Nhat Mechanical and Electrical Company has a charter capital of 66 billion VND. Established in 2007, the company employs key personnel from REE Corporation’s Service and Technical Division. Its main business activities include the design of mechanical and electrical systems for civil and industrial projects, as well as the trading, assembly, and repair of electrical, electronic, and refrigeration equipment.

Design Concept

The design concept for the new provincial office was chosen from a competition held by the local government in September 2023. Huni Vietnam Co., Ltd., which won the first prize in the competition, was selected to develop the design. The chosen approach focuses on utilizing the existing road network, particularly Tran Phu Street, to create a cohesive and well-connected complex that integrates seamlessly with the surrounding area.
