Khanh Hoa Collects Feedback on Urban Planning for New Cam Lam Urban Area
The Khanh Hoa province has recently initiated a process to gather feedback on the urban planning for the new Cam Lam urban area. The objective of this effort is to establish a high level of unity in understanding and action among the party, government, and people of the district regarding the planning project.
Seeking Input from Relevant Stakeholders
To achieve this goal, the People’s Committee of Cam Lam district has released a plan to solicit opinions from agencies, organizations, individuals, and the local community. Specifically, feedback is being sought for the planning project of zone 1, 3, and 4 of the new Cam Lam urban area. This process will help ensure that the development aligns with the needs and aspirations of the residents.

Incorporating Public Opinion
In order to collect feedback from the community, a public consultation process will be carried out. This may involve public exhibitions, information dissemination through media channels, or introducing the planning project at conferences. The aim is to ensure that the voices and perspectives of the residents are heard and considered in the decision-making process.

Areas Covered by the Project
The scope of the consultation process includes the following zones: Zone 1, which covers a research area of 3,603.64 hectares in Cam Hai Dong commune; Zone 3, which spans a research area of 7,057.12 hectares, encompassing parts of Suoi Tan, Cam Tan, Cam Hoa, Cam Hai Tay, Cam Hai Dong, Cam Hiep Bac, and Cam Duc; and Zone 4, with a research area of 5,652 hectares, including parts of Cam Thanh Bac, Cam Hiep Bac, Cam Hiep Nam, Cam An Nam, Cam An Bac, Cam Hai Tay, Cam Hai Dong, and Cam Duc.

Vision for the New Cam Lam Urban Area
As previously reported by Business Today, the Prime Minister has recently approved the general urban planning project for the new Cam Lam urban area in Khanh Hoa province until 2045. The approved plan encompasses the entire administrative boundary of Cam Lam district, with a total natural area exceeding 54,700 hectares. The vision for this new urban area is to develop it into a modern airport city, an internationally renowned eco-tourism and logistics hub, a financial and intellectual services center, and a global hub for education, healthcare, research, and technology innovation.
Investment and Population Projections
The estimated total investment required for the construction of infrastructure in the new Cam Lam urban area is approximately 320 trillion VND. It is projected that by 2030, the population will reach around 320,000, with approximately 224,000 residing in urban areas and an urbanization rate of about 70%. By 2045, the population is expected to reach approximately 770,000, with around 639,780 residing in urban areas and an urbanization rate of about 83%.
