The completion of the first phase of the Biên Hòa – Vũng Tàu expressway project in Vietnam has reached an impressive milestone. According to the Provincial Management Board for Compensation, Site Clearance, and Resettlement of Đồng Nai Province, over 94% of the required land parcels have been accounted for, totaling more than 1,750 plots. Similarly, the second phase has achieved nearly 92% completion, having counted more than 1,370 land parcels. However, there still remains a challenge in determining the owners of 117 plots of land which have yet to be identified. The list of these plots has been sent to relevant local authorities for public announcement and searching for the rightful owners. Prompt action is expected to be taken in locating the owners in the coming week.
During the land inventory process for the Biên Hòa – Vũng Tàu expressway project in Đồng Nai Province, authorities have discovered numerous plots of land without any registered owners, particularly in the town of Biên Hòa. This phenomenon can be attributed to the subdivision of land parcels and subsequent sale without proper documentation, leading to the absence of owners in the area. The identification and inventory of these abandoned plots have been challenging due to their significant numbers.
To expedite the progress of the project, the Provincial People’s Committee of Đồng Nai Province has assigned two entities, the Provincial Management Board for Compensation, Site Clearance, and Resettlement, as well as the Long Thành district authorities, to handle the land clearance process. Their goal is to complete the project’s land handover to the government by June 30th of this year, as committed.
The Biên Hòa – Vũng Tàu expressway project, spanning 53.7 kilometers in its first phase, has been divided into two components. The section passing through Đồng Nai Province covers 34 kilometers. With the diligent efforts and commitment of the involved parties, the completion of this expressway will be a significant achievement for the region’s transportation infrastructure.
