Mitsubishi Pajero Sport 2024: New Features and Pricing
Just a few days after its appearance in Indonesia, the updated 2024 version of the Mitsubishi Pajero Sport has been officially launched in Thailand. This is the second mid-life facelift of the Mitsubishi Pajero, which was first introduced in 2015, with the previous update in 2019.
Changes in Design and Engine
The main changes in the 2024 Mitsubishi Pajero Sport come in terms of design and engine. The aesthetic upgrades include a new front grille, new 18-inch alloy wheels, and an updated steering wheel and infotainment system inside the cabin. The engine has been upgraded from the previous 4N15 type to the newer 4N16 2.4L turbocharged diesel engine, similar to the one used in the Triton model.
Borrowed Powertrain from the New Triton
The 2024 Mitsubishi Pajero Sport is equipped with a 2.4L turbocharged diesel engine, producing 184 horsepower and 430Nm of torque (an increase of 3 horsepower, with torque remaining the same). The engine is paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission. The default drivetrain option is rear-wheel drive, with the option for premium models to have four-wheel drive. The exhaust system now meets EURO 5 emissions standards instead of the previous EURO 4. Fuel consumption has been reduced by 13% to 6.58 liters per 100 kilometers.
Minor Design Tweaks
The dimensions of the Mitsubishi Pajero Sport 2024 remain unchanged, with measurements of 4,825 x 1,815 x 1,835 (mm). The wheelbase is 2,800 mm, ground clearance is 218 mm, and the fuel tank capacity is 68 liters. The overall exterior design of the vehicle remains the same.
Externally, the only noticeable changes are the new front grille, rear bumper, and new 18-inch alloy wheels on the sides. The rest of the exterior remains unchanged.
Beneath the surface, the cabin of the Mitsubishi Pajero Sport 2024 features minor updates in terms of color and design. The dashboard has been replaced with a new fully digital instrument cluster measuring 8 inches in the premium models.

Notable exterior features in the Mitsubishi Pajero Sport 2024 include Bi-LED Projector headlights, LED daytime running lights/fog lights/rear lights/brake lights, automatic front wipers, power folding side mirrors, chrome trim, hands-free power tailgate, roof rack, rear spoiler, and body-colored shark fin antenna.

Safety Features in Different Configurations
The safety features in the Mitsubishi Pajero Sport 2024 vary between standard and premium configurations. Standard models include ABS, electronic brake-force distribution (EBD), brake assist (BA), stability control (SC), traction control (TC), hill start assist (HSA), hill descent control (HDC), rear differential lock, rear parking sensors, and a 360-degree camera.
Premium models add three additional airbags (for a total of 10, compared to 7 in standard models), blind-spot warning, lane change assist, rear cross-traffic alert, and front parking sensors.
The Mitsubishi Pajero Sport 2024 has a starting price of 1,389,000 Thai baht, equivalent to approximately 953.8 million Vietnamese dong. The top-of-the-line model is priced at 1,689,000 Thai baht, equivalent to around 1.16 billion Vietnamese dong.
