Mukesh Ambani’s 27-Storey Mansion: A Symbol of Extravagance!

Mukesh Ambani, the richest man in India and the wealthiest in Asia with assets worth around $114 billion, is the chairman of Reliance Industries, a conglomerate in the energy, retail, and media sectors. According to Business Insider, Ambani and his family own the most expensive private residence in the world – a 27-storey tower located on the most luxurious street in the capital city of Mumbai, named after a mythical island off the coast of Europe known as Antilia.

A Record-Breaking Residence

The Ambani family has attracted global attention this month due to the lavish wedding of their youngest son, Anant Ambani. The event made headlines for inviting renowned guests like Rihanna, Bill Gates, and Mark Zuckerberg. But it’s not just the wedding that has caught people’s attention, it’s their awe-inspiring residence too.

The Ambani’s tower, Antilia, is renowned for being the most expensive private residence in the world, according to the Guinness World Records (although some rankings place it second, after Buckingham Palace). Situated on a 37,000m2 plot of land, the 27-storey tower rises to a height comparable to a 40-storey building due to its double-height ceilings.

A Pricey Project

It took approximately $1 billion (over 24,000 billion Vietnamese dong) and four years to construct Antilia, as reported by Architectural Digest India. The tower boasts a private movie theater with 50 seats, a fully equipped health spa, and three helipads. It even has nine elevators and a garage that can accommodate 168 cars. Rumor has it that the Ambani family requires an estimated 600 staff members to manage the residence.
