The Vietnam Auction Joint Stock Company (VPA) announced that it will be holding several auctions for license plates on the 3rd, 4th, and 5th of April. Among the license plates up for auction are 30K-999.99, 14A-888.88, 51L-345.67, 99A-655.55, 99C-300.00, and 98A-711.11.

License Plate 30K-999.99: A Record-Breaking Bid

Of particular interest is the license plate 30K-999.99, which was successfully auctioned on January 13th for a staggering 75.2 billion Vietnamese dong. This is the highest amount ever paid for a license plate, but unfortunately, the winning bidder defaulted on the payment and forfeited the license plate. As a result, the auction will be held again to find a new buyer.

New Auction Format

The upcoming auction will feature a new format. In addition to the main auction round, there will be an extended bidding round. The system will record valid bids from participants at a rate of one bid per second per account throughout the entire duration of both rounds.

If only one participant submits a valid bid during the main auction round, the bidding will end, and that participant will be the winner with the highest valid bid.

The total duration of the two auction rounds will not exceed 30 minutes. The official auction period will last approximately 25 minutes, starting from the beginning.

The extended bidding round will take place after the official auction period. Only qualified participants will be allowed to continue bidding. Each extended bidding round will last for 30 seconds, with a maximum of 10 rounds.
