Proposal to Provide High-ranking Officials with Official Mansions up to 500 m2

The Ministry of Construction is currently seeking feedback on a draft decision regarding the standards and norms for official government housing. According to the proposed standards for central agencies, the Standing Committee of the Central Committee, members of the Politburo, and the Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party will be allocated official mansions with a plot size ranging from 450 to 500 square meters. The maximum budget for furnishing these mansions with loose furniture is set at 350 million Vietnamese dong.

High-ranking Officials

The Chairman of the Central Committee of the Fatherland Front of Vietnam, the Chief Justice of the Supreme People’s Court, the Head of the Supreme People’s Procuracy, the Vice President, the Deputy Prime Minister, and the Deputy Chairman of the National Assembly will be assigned official mansions with a plot size ranging from 350 to 450 square meters. The maximum budget for furnishing these mansions with loose furniture is set at 300 million Vietnamese dong.

Central Committee Members and Equivalent Positions

Official members and alternate members of the Central Committee of the Communist Party, Party leaders at the Central level, Chairpersons of National Assembly Committees, Ministers, Heads of Central Departments, and positions of equivalent rank will be allocated one of the following types of official government housing: semi-detached houses with a plot size ranging from 200 to 250 square meters or apartment units with a usable area ranging from 145 to 160 square meters. The maximum budget for furnishing these semi-detached houses or apartment units with loose furniture is set at 250 million Vietnamese dong.

Deputy Chairman of Central Committee of the Communist Party, Deputy Chairman of the Fatherland Front of Vietnam, Deputy Chairpersons of National Assembly Committees, Deputy Ministers, and Scientists

Deputy Chairman of the Central Committee of the Communist Party, Deputy Chairman of the Fatherland Front of Vietnam, Deputy Chairpersons of National Assembly Committees, Deputy Ministers, and scientists responsible for leading important national scientific and technological tasks as stipulated by the Law on Science and Technology, and positions of equivalent rank or higher will be assigned apartment units with a usable area ranging from 100 to 145 square meters. The maximum budget for furnishing these apartment units with loose furniture is set at 200 million Vietnamese dong.

Deputy Heads of Government Agencies and Equivalent Positions

Deputy Heads of Government Agencies and positions of equivalent rank or higher will be allocated apartment units that meet the regulated requirements, which include a usable area ranging from 70 to under 100 square meters. The maximum budget for furnishing these apartment units with loose furniture is set at 150 million Vietnamese dong.

This proposal aims to provide appropriate official housing for high-ranking officials, ensuring their comfort and functionality in performing their duties. The allocation of mansions and apartment units will be based on the respective positions held by these officials.
