Laredo and Nuevo Laredo form the leading inland transborder trade port between the two countries. Ryder’s expanded facilities will contribute to the acceleration of trade while supporting manufacturers in diversifying their supply chains and reducing lead times. In fact, truck border crossing activity has surged by over 20% annually since the pandemic as businesses increasingly embrace nearshoring.

Ryder’s new 228,000-square-foot multiclient warehouse and cross dock in Laredo is strategically situated just three miles from the World Trade Bridge on the U.S.-Mexico border. With its close proximity to major interstates and equipped with 102 dock doors and space for 143 trailers, the facility allows for seamless transportation operations. Furthermore, the facility is conveniently located within six miles of Ryder’s existing Laredo operations, promoting effective resource allocation and scalability.

In Nuevo Laredo, Ryder is expanding its drayage yard to facilitate the seamless transfer of freight between Mexico and the United States. Ryder Mexico handles a significant volume of over 250,000 freight movements per year for customers in various industries, including automotive, industrial, technology, and consumer packaged goods. With this expansion, Ryder further solidifies its presence in the border area and reinforces its commitment to efficient cross-border logistics.
