A Small Hero with a Big Heart

Phuc Tu embarked on his training journey at just two months old. Now, at six months old, he has surpassed many of his peers with his exceptional bomb-sniffing skills. Unlike traditional police dogs with long limbs and muscular bodies, Phuc Tu may be small in size, but he exudes confidence and bravery, comparable to his larger counterparts.

“Phuc Tu’s ability to adapt quickly to different environments, his boldness, his talent for holding on to objects, and his love for food make him extremely valuable during our training,” says Wang Yanan, the captain of the police dog team at the Duy Phuong Police Station.

“These police dogs are not only cute but have also been trained extensively by dedicated instructors to become highly professional,” adds Officer Wang.

The training center has specially designed a program tailored to Phuc Tu’s needs. Every morning, after cleaning his kennel, Phuc Tu begins his training, which includes following commands, bomb-sniffing, and providing alerts. Currently, Phuc Tu is still in the basic training phase, but soon he will undergo an official examination.

The Future Awaits

If Phuc Tu meets the standards set by the Ministry of Public Security of China, he will officially join the police force, starting his career as a full-fledged officer. His journey from social media sensation to a dedicated member of the police force is an inspiration to us all, proving that heroes come in all shapes and sizes.
