“Vua cà phê” Đặng Lê Nguyên Vũ is one of the richest tycoons in Vietnam, known for his extravagant car collection consisting of nearly 500 luxury cars, including rare and vintage models. In an interview with the press in June 2023, Mr. Đặng Lê Nguyên Vũ shared his perspective on owning luxury cars.

When asked, “As someone living in the mountainous region, why do you own so many luxury cars? Do you actually use them?” The “Coffee King” replied that some of his cars are left unused for 7-8 years, requiring frequent maintenance. The cost of maintenance is also substantial, but for Mr. Đặng Lê Nguyên Vũ, cars are considered consumables rather than assets.

The “Coffee King” also admitted that he couldn’t remember all of his luxury cars because there are simply too many, and he doesn’t have a favorite car. “I buy them, but I don’t pay much attention. They’ve been left untouched for the past 10 years,” said Mr. Đặng Lê Nguyên Vũ. He explained that his intention behind acquiring multiple luxury cars is not for publicity purposes, but rather to auction them off in the future to support young entrepreneurs. According to him, the value of these cars will appreciate over time.

The collection of luxury cars owned by Mr. Đặng Lê Nguyên Vũ primarily includes brands such as Mercedes-Benz, Rolls Royce, Ferrari, Porsche, among others. Some notable models include the Porsche 911, Porsche 918 Spyder, Bugatti Veyron, McLaren Senna, and Ford GT.
