UBND TP HCM provides feedback on planning for the Saigon riverfront road
The People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City (UBND TP HCM) has recently provided feedback and guidance on the traffic connectivity planning for the Saigon riverfront road, stretching from Ba Son Bridge in District 1 to Saigon Bridge in Binh Thanh District.
Review and Recommendations
UBND TP HCM has instructed the Department of Transportation, the Department of Construction, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment, the Urban Railway Management Board, District 1’s People’s Committee, and Binh Thanh District’s People’s Committee to review and provide feedback on the proposed plan by the Department of Planning and Architecture regarding the planning of the Saigon riverfront road (from Ton Duc Thang Street to Ba Son Bridge, and from Ba Son Bridge to Saigon Bridge, with a width of 30-35 meters). The review should consider the impact on Metro Line 1 Ben Thanh – Suoi Tien, traffic connectivity, and the potential effects on related investment projects in the area.
Feedback Collection
The relevant units and agencies are requested to send their feedback to the Department of Planning and Architecture.
Proposal and Review
Based on the feedback from the aforementioned agencies and units, the Department of Planning and Architecture will compile and report the proposed plan for traffic connectivity on the Saigon riverfront road (from Ba Son Bridge, District 1 to Saigon Bridge, Binh Thanh District) to UBND TP HCM by March 25. This proposal will be considered and incorporated into the general urban planning currently under study.
