The US Federal Investigation Bureau has announced that passengers on the Alaska Airlines Boeing 737 Max-9, which experienced a door malfunction during flight, could be victims of a crime^1^. This development marks a shift towards a potential criminal investigation, indicating that the probe into Boeing planes is progressing and may continue for some time.

Boeing, the aircraft manufacturer, has not released an official statement regarding the information, but has committed to full cooperation and transparency with all regulatory authorities^1^. Alaska Airlines has also stated that it is fully cooperating with the relevant authorities^1^.

According to Reuters, in addition to letters sent to passengers, flight attendants on Alaska Airlines Flight 1282 have also been interviewed by the US Department of Justice investigators^1^.

On January 5th, a plane en route from Portland, Oregon to Ontario, California experienced an unexpected door failure, forcing the pilot to make an emergency landing with a large rectangular hole^1^. Although all 171 passengers and 6 crew members landed safely, several passengers seated near the opening were injured, affecting both their physical and mental well-being^1^.

Following the incident, the US Federal Aviation Administration has suspended flights of the Max-9 model and requested Boeing to halt the expansion of this aircraft line^1^. So far, the official cause of the incident has not been disclosed as all parties involved are still undergoing a comprehensive investigation^1^.

As financial experts, we continue to monitor the situation and will update you with any further developments.
