Vietnamese Real Estate Companies Meet with Prime Minister to Promote Social Housing Projects

In a recent meeting chaired by the Prime Minister, several prominent real estate companies, including Vingroup, Sungroup, Sunshine Group, Novaland, and Hưng Thịnh, gathered to discuss the advancement of social housing projects.

Government Prioritizes Housing Projects

To comply with the directives of Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chính, the Government Office has sent a letter to the leaders of relevant Ministries, agencies, and localities to participate in an online conference focusing on eliminating obstacles and promoting the implementation of social housing projects.

The conference, presided over by Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chính, had Deputy Prime Minister Trần Hồng Hà in attendance.

Key Participants

The event was attended by the Minister of Construction, the Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam, as well as leaders from the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of Planning and Investment, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the Chairperson of the Provincial People’s Committee, the Chairperson of the Municipal People’s Committee, the Director-General of the Social Policy Bank, the Chairman of the Board of Directors and Board of Management, and the General Director of various commercial banks, including BIDV, Vietinbank, Agribank, Vietcombank, and representatives from the Vietnam Real Estate Association and the Ho Chi Minh City Real Estate Association.

The Government Office has sent invitations to the leaders of prominent companies such as Vingroup, Sungroup, Novaland, Hưng Thịnh, Sunshine, and others to attend the conference.

Earlier this month, on March 11th, Deputy Prime Minister Trần Hồng Hà chaired an online meeting with the Prime Minister’s working group to review, accelerate, and provide guidance to resolve difficulties and obstacles in implementing real estate projects for localities and businesses, following the enactment of new Land Law, Housing Law, and Real Estate Business Law.

Furthermore, on November 13, 2023, the State Bank of Vietnam, in coordination with the Ministry of Construction, organized a credit conference focusing on real estate and social housing development. The conference saw the participation of 22 prominent real estate companies, including Vingroup, Becamex, Novaland, Him Lam, Sun Group, Masterise, BĐS Toàn Cầu, and IMG.

This meeting signals the government’s commitment to addressing the housing needs of the population and supporting the real estate industry in Vietnam.
