Volkswagen Teramont 2024: A Closer Look at its Features and Technology

VW Teramont 2024

Volkswagen Teramont 2024 has made its first appearance in Hanoi, Vietnam. This new model is set to be introduced in the country this year. Similar to the recently launched Teramont X, the Teramont 2024 will be imported from China instead of the United States. This shift in imports aims to enhance the technological features of the vehicle.

Exterior Design

The Teramont 2024, being an import from China, features some differences in its exterior design compared to the global Teramont facelift. The front grille is adorned with bright chrome, seamlessly integrated with the two-tier LED headlights. However, unlike the global version, the Chinese Teramont 2024 has a smaller grille without the extended LED strip running across the upper edge. The air vents in the front bumper are also more modest.

Interior Features

Unlike the exterior, the cabin design of the Teramont 2024 sold in China is similar to the international version. The center display screen is raised rather than embedded into the dashboard, as seen in the pre-facelift version available in Vietnam. This 12-inch screen is complemented by a 10.25-inch display behind the steering wheel and a heads-up display. In terms of transmission, the newer model will have an electronic shifter compared to the previous mechanical one. Additional features expected in the Teramont 2024 include Harman Kardon sound system, panoramic sunroof, wireless charging, and interior ambient lighting.

Engine and Safety

The Teramont 2024 in Vietnam is likely to be equipped with the same standard 2.0L engine found in the Teramont X. This engine delivers 217 horsepower and 350 Nm of torque, paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission and all-wheel drive. In terms of safety, the Teramont is expected to offer early collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane departure assistance, adaptive cruise control, and intelligent headlights. These advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) will be a significant improvement compared to the previous model.
