Volvo S90 Recharge Ultimate: A Fuel-Efficient Car with a Price Tag of 2.89 Billion VND
Volvo S90 Recharge Ultimate Arriving in Vietnam Soon
Some dealerships in Ho Chi Minh City have started accepting deposits for the Volvo S90 Recharge Ultimate, which is set to be launched next week with an expected price of 2.89 billion VND. Volvo Vietnam has revealed that the number of S90 Recharge units available this time is limited, as they are imported from Malaysia.
The introduction of the S90 Recharge is part of the Lagom Lifestyle Exhibition, the first event of its kind in Vietnam, which will take place in Ho Chi Minh City on March 14th. According to the invitation sent by Volvo Vietnam, the exhibition will showcase the famous Swedish concept of Lagom (Just Right) through art installations and product displays. Volvo hopes to offer viewers a glimpse into a balanced, positive, and sustainable lifestyle.
What Makes the Volvo S90 Recharge Different from the Standard Ultimate?
In terms of design, there are not many differences between the S90 Recharge Ultimate and the regular Ultimate model. The most noticeable difference in the exterior is the addition of an electric charging port on the front left wheel, similar to the XC60 Recharge and XC90 Recharge. Additionally, the car features 19-inch wheels with a completely new design, making their debut in Vietnam.
Inside the cabin, the seats are upholstered in Fine Nappa leather, and the trims are made of Glossy Black wood. The crystal Orrefors gear knob is crafted by hand. The car is equipped with a 9.7-inch screen with Apple CarPlay connectivity and a 19-speaker Bowers & Wilkins sound system with a power output of 1,410W.
Fuel Efficiency: Only 1.4 Liters per 100 Kilometers
On the international market, the Volvo S90 Recharge Ultimate combines a 2.0L petrol engine with an electric motor, providing a power output of 407 horsepower and a torque of 640 Nm. With this setup, the car can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.8 seconds, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission.
According to the Vietnam Register, the Volvo S90 Recharge Ultimate uses a plug-in hybrid drivetrain, consuming only 1.4 liters of fuel per 100 kilometers. This fuel consumption is even lower than that of common motorcycles such as the Honda Wave Alpha (1.72 liters/100 km) and Yamaha Grande (1.66 liters/100 km).
With its fuel efficiency and state-of-the-art features, the Volvo S90 Recharge Ultimate offers a compelling option for those looking for a luxurious and eco-friendly car.
