Xiaomi, the renowned technology company, is set to make its mark in the automotive industry with its first electric car, the Xiaomi SU7. However, the wait is now over, as Xiaomi has officially announced that the Xiaomi SU7 will be launched in China on March 28th. Interested buyers will have the opportunity to experience the car starting from March 25th.

Luxurious Design and Powerful Performance

The Xiaomi SU7 comes in two variants: the standard version and the Max version. The Max version boasts a four-wheel drive system with two electric motors, producing an astonishing 673 horsepower and achieving an acceleration of 0-100 km/h in just 2.78 seconds. It has a top speed of 265 km/h. The standard version, although not as powerful, still offers impressive performance with its rear-wheel drive system and a single electric motor, accelerating from 0-100 km/h in 5.28 seconds.

Inside the Xiaomi SU7, the smart cockpit features a system of five screens, controlled by the powerful Snapdragon 8295 chip. The main 16.1-inch display offers a 3K resolution and supports CarPlay and AirPlay. Pricing and Availability

Although Xiaomi is known for its affordable prices, the Xiaomi SU7 targets the mid-range and high-end market segment. The exact pricing details have not been announced yet, but it is predicted to range from 250,000 to 370,000 Chinese Yuan (approximately 858 million to 1.27 billion Vietnamese Dong).

CEO Lei Jun considers entering the electric car market as his “final business mission in life”. The development of the Xiaomi SU7 was supported by an investment of over 10 billion Chinese Yuan (approximately 1.4 billion USD) and involved a team of 3,400 engineers.

In a recent Weibo post, Lei Jun expressed his shock regarding Apple’s withdrawal from the electric car industry. He acknowledged the challenges of car manufacturing but emphasized Xiaomi’s commitment to producing electric cars, stating that the company has made a solid strategic choice.

With its luxurious design, powerful performance, cutting-edge features, and commitment to excellence, the Xiaomi SU7 is set to be a formidable rival to the VinFast VF7.
