DUBAI – Ugo Humbert displayed a remarkable performance to defeat Alexander Bublik and secure the ATP 500 victory at the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships. The French No5 seed showcased his dominance by defeating Bublik in straight sets, capping off an impressive week on the court.

A Stellar Performance by Humbert

Humbert, now achieving a career-high World No14 ranking, has now won six titles in six ATP finals. The 25-year-old left-hander exhibited his powerful forehands and precise double-handed backhands to overpower Bublik. Humbert’s journey to the final involved victories against top-ranked players such as Gael Monfils, Andy Murray, Hubert Hurkacz, and Daniil Medvedev.

A Decisive Victory

After a closely contested first set, Humbert secured a crucial break in the 10th game to claim the set 6-4. “I played a fantastic level all through the week, but it was not easy,” Humbert said after his victory. “I really don’t know how I stayed calm. I have too much respect for [Bublik], he’s such a nice guy on and off the court, and congratulations to him on a great start to the year.”
